Posted - Dec 03 2008 : 2:10:31 PM Hi~ I am a SAHM and homeschooling mom of 3(16,11,7) and baby on the way due in April. We live in town but long to be in the country again someday soon. I enjoy baking, drawing, acrylic painting, crafting, cross-stitching, gardening and old fashioned skills and living. I am teaching myself to sew and crochet. We hope to have sheep and chickens someday. We also hope to live in a log cabin. It is very COLD here right now(almost -30 yesterday) but we love it here. We have moved a bit over our 18 years of marriage and I think we have finally found "home". I hope MJF forums will be a place that I can call home, too.
Blessings!
~Tina

Posted - Dec 04 2008 : 3:27:59 PM Linda, I am in Fairbanks. We have lived here for a little over 2 years now. When did you leave?Have you ever been back to visit? may not have everything you want here but definitely everything you need although you can get ALMOST anything here. We have the biggest Wal-mart in the country and they're planning a Target within the next 2 years. There is even talk of a mall. It's kindof disappointing to me though because I like the small town feel and the more development takes away from that.We have a decent farmer's market here where dh hopes to sell his BBQ sauce and if I have the time(since we have a baby on the way) I am going to start crafting/baking more.

Posted - Dec 04 2008 : 2:52:57 PM Tina, where in Alaska are you? I lived in Fairbanks for 8 years and still miss it. I love my memories of living there. The weather finally got to my lungs and health so I moved here to Pennsylvania. Alaska is such an adventure!!
