Good morning!

From what I can see in recent threads, there is a growing Michigan contingent hereabouts.

I am quite new to the 'Mary Jane' scene, having just picked up my very first magazine two weeks ago. I was so taken with it, however, I ordered every back issue possible the other day!

Let's see... my name is April, and I've been married to my best friend for over 14 years now. ;) We have no children, but are besotted with our four kittycats, all of whom were rescuees. I work full-time outside the home and with demands of hubby and home, church and my job, am not the domestic goddess I would love to be. However, I enjoy cooking, am a diehard believer in the value of organic whole foods, and have a growing interest in gardening. I shall attempt vegetables for the first time come spring.

My real love is quilting, which I am slightly new to, and that is expanding into a serious interest in needlework. I have cross stitched since the age of six, but that has been neglected since I began quiltmaking. Also, I just ordered a book on smocking. So many pursuits, so little time LOL!

I live in a somewhat rural area, which is becoming sadly built up. It was more remote ten years ago, when we acquired our little Depression-era bungalow. Nonetheless, there is plenty of fresh air and lots of farms, lakes and fields to enjoy within a short distance of my back door.

Anyway, that's about me. This looks like a lovely forum!

Welcome April...Hey maybe we'll have enough of us for a Chapter! Enjoy your reading. I did the same thing...ordering a book and magazines to go through. It takes a while. Something to do when you aren't stitching.
