Hello there! Please forgive me. I joined a few days ago but being part hen and part duck (that's me) my knack for computers and chats is limited. Theresa (Contrary Wife) somehow found me and sent me a lovely email. I'm desperately trying to figure all this out! We live in Great Lakes, IL as my husband is a handsome Marine stationed here but we own a farm in Dexter, Ky. I really want to be a part of this. Thank you so much for having me.

Thank you Lord

Hi Faith,

Welcome from Texas! I love Kentucky, my husband and I were married in Owensboro, KY 30 years ago. We lived there 2 years and still have wonderful friends there. When will you get back to Dexter? Again, welcome and glad you found us.

Fella Farmgirls!
Thank you so much for all of your messages. This hen/duck is in training. My husband has been in the Marine Corps for over 25 years. We are currently stationed at Great Lakes but we own a small 10 acre farm in Dexter, Ky. Dexter is about 15 miles from Murray, Ky and about one hour from Tenn. I have two little chicks, a 12 year old daughter who is an honor student and a 9 year old precious boy with tons of medical problems including the fact that he has Down Syndrome. I consider myself blessed by the Lord for the Lord to think me worthy of this very special little boy.
It's so nice meeting y'all.

Hi Faith!

I'm not too far from you in Illinois. I live in Northbrook, kinda between the Edens and Tristate expressways.

Hope your time up at Great Lakes is a good one -- I don't blame you for being homesick for Kentucky. I'm originally from Michigan; moved here 38 years ago; and I still miss my home state.

You will find many kindred spirits here and the sharing is wonderful -- friends are friends no matter where they live!

Hello Everyone, please help me. I must be molting. How do I reply to the lovely messages I see on the forum page? I want to be part of this but I really don't know a whole lot about this type of chatting. Do I reply here in the "Quick Reply"? I saw that Handyam asked me some questions. How do I reply? Please forgive me for being so uneducated with this.

Welcome from south central Kentucky. Where is Dexter (I guess I could get out the encyclopedia and look for myself!!!!). Were you living on the farm before your husband became stationed at Great Lakes?
