Hello everyone! I have been lurking for a while & then joined. I joined a few swaps. So I thought I would introduce myself. I am a homeschooling mother of 4 ages 8,12,14,&16. We live on an 8 acre place on the edge of Lewistown, pop. 6000. We also own and operate a health food store. Both my husband and I grew up on ranches in Montana and lived the farm life daily. We enjoyed every minute of it. (If only ranches could provide for large extended families, we would be on a ranch.) We still spend a lot of time on the ranches even of we don't live there. We are striving to give our children that life also on our own "little ranch". I love the site and reading about what all of you enjoy doing. I get so excited seeing others that enjoy many things that I also enjoy. I am so glad I saw a Mary Jane's Farm mag in my grocery store. I think I found a huge group of sisters!! Thanks for reading all of this.

Theresa,

Our store is called The Pantry. I would love to meet you if you are ever through here. Columbus and Lewistown are about 140 miles apart. I hope your move goes well. You will like it in Montana. Take Care!

Welcome Karla,

I'm brand new too! It's great to hear that you homeschool your children. My hubby and I did too! They've both graduated from highschool and one has graduated from college. Hope to hear more from you in the future.

Hi Karla - I'm so excited to see someone from Lewistown!! We spend part of our time on our place in Mosby - just east of the Musselshell and come to Lewistown every couple of weeks to do our shopping. We maintain a house in Washington until my hubby retires in a couple of years but our hearts are in Montana. We have 21 acres out there and have built a cabin and shop and plan to be there full time in about 3 years. Meanwhile, we're there when hubby is between his construction jobs and when he goes out of state, I stay at the cabin. We absolutely love it there - lived in a little apartment kitty corner from the post office in Lewistown while we were building. Welcome to MJF, you will love it here!!

Welcome, Karla!

Do you know any Ostertags? Our former neighbors, Sue and Tom, were from Stanford and have ended up in Lewiston, I believe (they spent a few years here in Spokane Valley, then were in Helena). I've really liked Lewiston, the couple of times I've been through there.

Looking forward to reading more from you!
