I am new here. My name is Marian, but I prefer Dutchy on the bulletin board.
BUT if you call me Marian I will listen also
I live in a small village (1000 people) in the Netherlands, in the North-Eastern part of the country. I really LOVE my village, it's people, church, pastor...everything!
I live in a regular house, but made it my home through my Shabby Chic decorating.

If you like to know more, just ask and I might answer

Hugs from Dutchy

Hey, and welcome, Dutchy! I love the Shabby Chic, as well, but really have a blend of farmhouse, vintage and cottage. At least, until something else catches my attention! So glad you joined us!

Greetings from Missouri, Dutchy! My freshman year in college (33 years ago - can it really have been that long???) our choir toured Europe and spend a couple of days in the Netherlands. I remember the house we stayed in because it was only a room or two per floor, a spiral staircase and three or four stories high. And I remember the organ-grinder and his monkey that we met on the street. It was the first time I'd ever seen one - I thought they were only in storybooks!

Look forward to getting to know you. I'll be watching for your posts.

God bless -
Karen

Are you Originally From the Netherlands?
I'm here in Florida living Now.. But am originaly from just outside Chicago..

Your Home Sounds Adorable..
I'm a bit stuck somewhere decorating in Shabby Chic & Primitive which can be an Odd blend at times.. Not so sure I pull it off.. But since At this stage in my Life, It's just My Husband Butch of 31 Years & I.. We're empty Nesters.. Meaning all the kids have grown & moved out now, I supposed it Really doesn't much matter What anyone else thinks of this mess but the two of us.. Does it?
So.. There's a bit of me..
Can't wait to learn more about what you enjoy doing!

Welcome Dutchy from a Kentucky farmgirl. I like pink too. One of my bedrooms is pink and red. Also, I have 3 daughters. I dressed them in a lot of pink when they were little. Then they began to choose blue jeans!!!
You're going to love this site.

Welcome Dutchy,
This is just so wonderful to have all these women from all over with so much of the same interests. I too love pink stuff. I received a pink fishing pole a few weeks back for my birthday. Your decorating style sounds right up my ally, I would love to see pics.
