I'm taking the plunge finally and introducing myself after lurking in the shadows for over a year. I love this forum! It's like meeting the sisters you never new about, and finding you share all the same family traits. Like you, I love to cook, can, knit/crochet, quilt, and garden. I dabble a little in One Stoke Painting and love all things vintage. Though we were never blessed with children, I am long time married and have a Cairn Terrier (Toto type dog). We live in the suburbs of Denver but long for a place in the country where we can do the "farm thing".

So hello to my fellow farm sisters!

Audrey

Ada, I just pulled up your blog. Rascal is just like Hobbs! What a cutie! I still remember the baby years, GOOD LUCK! Remember, lots of patience!

OMG! I love these little dogs. Mine's name is Hobbs and he'll be 12 next month. He is the smartest dog, you can actually see him figure things out. Of course that's not always a good thing! Have fun with Rascal, what color is he? Mine is Wheaton and he has the black markings on his ears, nose and tail. Can you tell I like him?

Thanks Kaye! I've been to Utah several times. My husband and I had friends that lived in Vernal before they moved to Louisiana. And when I was a pre-teen I had family that lived in Roy.

You all are so nice! Since I've been a long time reader of the forum I already feel like I know everyone. It's going to be even better being able to chat with you rather than just sitting on the sidelines and reading.

Laurie, I agree that the Denver area has gotten way to big for my tastes but we stay where hubby can get work. He did do some work in the Norwood area this year and we've fallen in love with it. Hope to be able to move there in the not too distant future.

Welcome, I live on the other side of the mountains and go to Denver when work drags me over. A bit big for me, but I can imagine it was quite the town back when.

Thank you all for your welcomes! Yes, I am fortunate to live in a beautiful state. The only down side is that everybody else wants to live here too! My husband and I are both natives and we've seen the area go from a sleepy little cow town to the great big metropolitan area we live in today.

Karen, my grandparents lived in Festus, MO. By the map I see that isn't too far from you. I loved spending summers there!

I look forward to chatting more with you all!
