Hi All!
I've been so busy reading posts, joining swaps and organizing one that I'm just now getting to the introductions!
My name is Sheri, married to the man of my dreams, have 2 adult girls and 2 adorable grand-daughters. I'm in Tendoy, Idaho...a very small crossroads on the Montana border overlooking the Continental Divide in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. We have a fair sized ranch - we live in cattle country but don't raise cattle. (We do however help the local ranchers run cattle up and back on range and do the branding thing and all) We raise and train horses and mules. Spend a lot of time in the Wilderness - we pack in for days at a time, fish, ride, stomp around and just generally enjoy how lucky we are to be able to enjoy all this! I kinda live in the 1800's most of the summer!(But I do take my computer from time to time to stay in touch - why? - because I can!! I got me a roll-up solar panel for power) I will admit though that I rarely turn it on.)
Amongst all the other equines, I have a full matched team of mules and another of Percherons that I hitch and drive a lot. Love it - and with the price of gas comes in handy!!
As for interests - let's see...what am I not interested in!? I'm a jack of all trades and master of a few but always look to learn more. I grew up farming and also running heavy equipment for my Dad's business. I quilt, stitch, embroider, carve and paint eggs, do all sorts of general crafts, garden, cook ....as you might guess I sleep very little! LOL
It's great to be here and I'm looking forward to sharing some of the great things I get to see and do, and learn some from all the great gals here!

Sheri

Sheri,

Welcome! It's good to have you with us. As time goes on, I am interested in hearing of your adventures in the back country, wild animals, cooking out, etc.

Welcome, Sheri! How great that you do carving! That's a craft I haven't seen mentioned on here yet - but then I'm new too so I'm sure there are others here. You'll have to post some of your work for us to "OOOOO" and "AHHHH" over.

God bless -

Thanks for the welcome everybody.
I am going to try to jump in and start a blog. It'll probably take a bit - busy here getting ready to start packing in to the backcountry.
Want to get one more personal trip in before the "work" starts!

Just love my mules! Gotta love those faces and ears! I've been known to take them to town and ride them thru the drive-thru at Burger King. Did that once with a team and a wagon too! (It's a blast to see the looks on the faces of folks in town!)

Will keep you all posted when the diary comes out!

Thanks girls!
I do have a kinda charmed life. I consider myself very lucky.

Kaye, Yes, Tendoy is 20 miles south of Salmon.

Alee, stop by!! Although we may be going back over the hill to Lincoln, MT...not sure yet. Lived in Darby for 20 years but got tired of Hollywood and CEO's. We like the Frank Church and Selway here, but a LOT has burned in the last couple years and the taxes are terrible here....Anyway, we go to Billings for the sale a few times a year - especially the Outfitters sale in March so we can always hook up then!
We'll be starting to make regular trips into the backcountry here in a few eeks - we pack in for a few outfitters and set up camps for the hunting season. Then sometimes I go in for a few months to guide and cook and pack.

I've got loads of stuff to share with you guys!
