Hi Everyone,
I'm Kaye, KatyDo as my husband calls me. I live in a tiny farming comunity, Uintah, an extension of Ogden, UT. I'm 61, today!, I have 2 sons, Matt-30 and Seth-21. Oh, and my new little Bishon puppy, Belle Starr, tiny 1 lb 6 oz--she's so cute and just like having a new baby-(the 2 am potty break). Some of my interests are: the vege garden, flower beds, designing, sewing and selling aprons, making quilts embroidering, (I just finished embroidering on a fishing vest for myself because I couldn't find a girly one and I just had to have one to go with my new pink fishing pole.) I worked as a graphic artist and illustrator, resently retired and am looking forward to raising chickens again, actually just doing what comes naturally after working out side the home for the past 25-30 years. I have signed up for mail art and am also very excited about joining in on all the chats, projects and goings ons with all you farmgirl chicks.

Katy, you bet we can... It just takes patience and positive thinking. We haven't forgotten all the old tricks we learned that some of these chickies will learn.. if they haven't already.. Love chatting with you.. we can relate.

Ada Mae,
I know what you mean I feel like i'm trying to play catch up for the 20+ years I worked, there are never enough hours in the day. After my first child was born I always said that mothers should go through this magical transformation that their bodies would never need another nights sleep after giving birth.
To all of you thanks for the welcome.

Welcome Kaye, sounds like you are going to stay busy. I retired 7 years ago from 29 years of teaching elementary school. I thought I would finally have some free time---WRONG. There's so much to do and so much I want to do. I guess I will get around to it all--if not it won't matter anyway.

Hey Ladies thanks for all the welcomes and birthday wishes, i really don't feel 61, but I can sure be a stepmom to all you young farmchicks. Marly, one of these days I'll have someone teach me how to post a photo and I'll send pictures of my little puppy. I'm so excited about this whole farm girl thing, I just hope I can keep up with the chatter and of course add my 2 cents worth from time to time.Wouldn't it be a blessing if all of us could meet in one place for a few days, I would love to hug you all.
