Hi All,

I am from Montana. I am married, have 2 (adult) kids, and my 3rd grand daughter will be arriving in Oct.

I am a fiber addict amongst other things. I am a Board Member of Montana Fiber Guild, Montana Association of Weavers and Spinners, Prairie Handspinners. I teach knitting, spinning, Swedish Weave, and Tunisian Crochet at my local yarn store. See - fiber geek! LOL

When I followed an email address over to this site, I was very pleased to find a woman organization with a heart.

Else - we can figure out meetings to work with you coming to town.

Alee, I sent you a message. LOL I WANT those merit badges! Had a good giggle regarding the Apron making Experience Level. Putting on lipstick and going to town with your apron on. We could have fun with that!

Welcome back Diana!

Yay! Another Billings Farmgirl! Yay! I just sent you a message to join your chapter- how cool is that?!

Elise- You can join a chapter without buying the Sisterhood membership but you won't be able to access the Henhouses or get the cool bonuses that being a sister entails (like getting Sister only deals from the Farm and earning merit badges!)

Do you have to join the sisterhood to join a chapter? What fun!

I made it! I know you all don't know me, but the day after my posting, my computer had a problem. Not sure what it was, but luckily my SIL is a computer geek. He works aa a software/IT tech at the local hopital. They were all busy with Cerner (?) updates, so last week it just sat. This week he had time and tried to save it. We (he) finally just was able to save some of the things on there and had to wipe the computer clean and reinstall XP and a few other things. It was so frustrating as I had just found this site and posted! Talk about a cliffhanger!

So I am back :::Whew:::! Thanks to all of you for your warm welcome. I live in Billings and have started a chapter and joined (I think) the sisterhood and subscribed to the magazine. It would be nice if we all lived closer - we could go tromping through the fields around here to pick milkweed, sweet clover and other "weeds" to dye fleeces with. I'd love to sit you you on my back porch and spin while drinking a large glass of ice tea!

Hi Diana and welcome from Washington! I also love fiber arts and am addicted to beautiful high quality yarns. I love to knit but want to own a farm with alpacas so I can spin my own yarn and sell it. I look forward to hearing more from you!

Welcome Diana! I'm learning to weave (about a year now) and loving it! My next step is to learn to spin, and then move to knitting -- I can't wait! To me, there is nothing better than to sink my hands into baskets or bins of yarn and absorb the feel and the colors and textures! If you ever have any tips, I'm interested! I have a four harness Nilus LeClerc floor loom, and have my eye on an 8-shaft, as soon as I can get a little more under my belt. I'm glad you're joining the forum!!!!

Welcome Diana!

I would love to learn to spin also! I have a spinning wheel collecting dust. I am a primitive rug hooker and a few of the ladies I hook with are spinners. There is a class up in Fredericksburg, TX that I may have to go take. :O)
