Hi All,

First I want to say how embarrassed I am ! I realized I posted a little bit about myself in the wrong thread. I should of started a new topic folder to introduce myself, instead I put my bio in someone else's! Sorry Connie. I'll get the hang of this forum stuff.
If you would like to see what I orinally wrote, it is under the "Hi I'm New" thread on page 2.

So let me do this again, Hi my name is Brenda and I live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country about 15 mins. east of Boerne. We are not too far from San Antonio. My husband of soon to be 30 years and I settled back in Texas after living in Kentucky, Alaska, Oregon, and New Mexico. We don't have children but were blessed with 15 nieces and nephews, hence the name "Auntie Brenda". We have 7 cats and 2 dogs. We hope to have chickens and my husband would like at least 2 miniature donkeys. We are on a nice piece of land close to the Guadalupe river. This country living was new to me since I was a city girl, but I have adjusted well and just love being a Farmgirl at heart!

I'm glad to have found the Farmgirl Connection and look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi Frannie in KY,

In 1978 my husband and I eloped from El Paso, TX (where we grew up) to Owensboro, KY! He had just joined the Coast Guard and was stationed on the Ohio River. We lived there the first two years of our marriage and have such fond memories of Kentucky! We have gone back there since and plan on going again, hopefully next year.

Thanks for the Kentucky welcome!

Hi Kate in Bryan,

I am trying to think of where the rose palace is. Which direction outside of Boerne is your sister?

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes!
Marly and Kate (in Bryan), thank you for sharing with me that you did the same thing when you started. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one. :O) Marly, I'm just down the road from Kerrville. In the fall I will be going up there once a month for rug hooking. My husband goes to Ft. Polk from time to time to check on one of their jobsites. He enjoys going there, I hope I can go with him sometime. I would like to go visit Louisana.

Again thanks for the warm welcome!

Howdy auntie brenda-I'm right down your way too. In fact, my sister has her little farm outside boerne too-she's right next to the rose palace.
I have six cats, two dogs, chickens, geese and ducks. I wish I had donkeys, but not yet.
Oh and don't feel bad about posting on the wrong place-I did the same darn thing too when I started. I think they forgave me :)

Welcome Brenda:
I am from Louisiana. The Southwest, right next door to Texas. My youngest sister lives in the Hill Country, in Kerrville. I also have 7 cats: Zoe, Gracie, Pegs, Nadia, Moon, Pepper, and Audrey, and one dog, Luck-Dog. You'll love it here at the Farm Site, as I refer to it. There is some super wonderful people here. They'll help you with anything you have questions on. Don't feel bad about posting to the wrong place, I did that, too! LOL
Oh well--- the world continued to turn. Have a happy day!
Marly
