Hi, my name is Elise mom to 3. My husband and I live and work on a cattle ranch in south eastern Montana. I grew up in the midwest and have traveled around with my dear husband on ranches since we've been married.
Just found MaryJane's magazine at the grocery store and am glad I picked it up!
Can't wait to get to know everyone here..

I'm from the midwest originally too but your life is the one I always hoped for! i grew up reading Western Horseman but never made it to Montana....would love to someday..I love those big, wide-open spaces! My problem is as much as I love it I'm afraid of heights and you guys have those beautiful mountains that i adore but could never drive through! I'd have to fly in (flying doesn't bother me as long as I'm not one doing the flying! LOL!). You're going to love it here and these women are phenomenal! Again...BIG WELCOME!

That's ok Sam, you can come here, we aren't in the mountains! Most would say this is ugly country, but I don't. We have hills, and buttes, and coulles. It's pretty brown right now, but in the spring... oh my it's gorgeous! We have the big open spaces here for sure!
Thanks for the welcome!

Montana is a great place. We are hoping to stay here for a long while. We like the people in the area, the people we work for.. it's just all good!

I like to cross stitch and have been checking out the crafting boards... Like to read too, when time allows.. which isn't very often. hee hee
