Posted - Jul 15 2008 : 06:47:40 AM Hi All! Greetings from Mt. Rainier area. We have 37 acres and a view of the mountain, have been here just a few years. It's the last bit of an old farmstead and we have the farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings. We have a garden, various flower beds, fruit trees, and critters: 2 horses, 4 sheep, 2 goats (pets), 2 ducks (daughter's), 19 chickens, 15 rabbits, and about 90 broiler chicks that are headed for the freezer in about a month. Also 2 dogs and five cats.
Always something going on around here and we are so grateful and happy to get to live this life after years in town, where we were urban farmgirls. It was great to find my first issue of Mary Jane's Farm (at the feed store), I got so many good ideas from it! I've enjoyed reading some of the posts and look forward to being part of this group.

Posted - Jul 15 2008 : 7:37:24 PM Welcome Leslie, from another Washington girl. I have a great view of Rainier too. Only I am much, much farther away than you are. That ole Mountain is pretty big, so we all can share her. MB
