Hello,
My name is Cheryl, I just re-entered the farm life. My husband & I just moved to Klamath Falls Oregon. We love it here and I look forward to meeting other farm girls here. We moved from Arizona.

Welcome Cheryl, your place sounds lovely! Sorry about the skunk incident, that seems to happen in the country a lot.

Cheryl, I'm in Queen Creek. We moved here several years back because it was rural and had that 'small town' feel....then everyone in the state thought it was good idea, too! LOL...it's ok, though. Our little 'neighborhood' remains untouched by all the busy world (people and stores)moving in. And, I *am* grateful for a store that is less then 15 miles away.

welcome to the group Cheryl.
Your place sounds great. I have had a dog of mine get skunked before....P.U.!!!! Same dog tangled with pocupines (twice) and rolled in fresh manure every chance he got. He was lucky to be so dang cute..cuz he was surely a pain in the behind..haha
It will be fun to get to know you here!

Molly........ I did love it while we lived there...But yeah.. the heat was SOMETHING to write home about. Where do you live?

Thank you all for the warm Welcome. My husband & I are retired and purchased our property with a 2 year old home already on it. Nothing was planted until now....Welcome to the farm life.. Today my hubby & I completed the garden.. What a job.. pray everything starts growing. Completed the planting with 2 blueberry bushes, 2 blackberry bushes & 4 raspberry bushes, 1 concord grape to join the beans, tomatoes, squash, peas, beets, peppers & cukes. If all produce We will be busy freezing and canning. It's been years since I was able to do this, Really missed it. Planted a cherry tree and 2 apple trees earlier last week. We plan to build a chicken coop and will have it ready for spring. We have seen 3 deer on the hillside behind our property and thankfully the past owners built a 8 ft fence around the back yard where all the garden is planted. We have a small cockapoo dog "Buster" who is really enjoying being able to run & check out the property. We only have one acre! Buster saw his first jack rabbit and took after it faster than we could imagine.. He also was skunked last week.. (chasing the black & white "striped Kitty") What a mess at 9:30 at night. We managed to get him de-skunked after making a trip to town for tomato juice. It was too funny actually... Welcome to the country!

Handyam, Thanks for the welcome. I have not found a group here in Klamath Falls yet.. very interested in finding one. The closest I've seen I think is in Bend, Oregon & thats 130 miles north of me,......Does Anyone have friends or family or know of farmgirls around here?
