Hello all. My name is Kelli and I hail from Southwest Michigan. My husband and I, along with our five children, three dogs, three turtles and two fish, currently live in a suburban area on two acres. One of the major reasons we have decided to move is that we cannot have livestock, not even a couple of chickens where we currently live. Three months ago +/-, we bid on a house with 6.5 acres, and are patiently (not) waiting for the powers that be (aka banks) to answer our bid. The house is in foreclosure and is being sold through a "short sale". Bank number one accepted our offer a while back, but bank number two holds a second mortgage on the property. Bank number one is refusing to share any of the profits with bank number two who is holding out for a measily fifteen hundred dollars.... So we wait, and wait.... Anyhow, in the meantime, my friend Connie from Alaska (eskimobirdlady told me about this wonderful sight. I decided that coming here and dreaming about my little farm will have to do for the moment.
