Posted - Jul 06 2008 : 1:26:23 PM I haven't been to the website for almost a year. Several reasons - been busy, internet too slow, somewhat depressed after my son left for the Navy, probably the most true is that I'm lazy.
Anyway, I'd forgotten what a blessing your "company" is.
Thanks- ranchhandwife Karen |

Posted - Jul 06 2008 : 4:42:00 PM Karen, Hey... I love Tonasket, such a great Area. I live in Prosser Wa. but grew up in Coulee City. I am glad that you made it back to the blog...My two oldest joined the military last year(Coast Guard and Marine Corp)... So I can relate to the need to re-adjust.... I still have two boys at home - But I did have a little shock to the system.
Anyway, Glad you made it back! Great to have you!

Posted - Jul 06 2008 : 3:29:37 PM we are right down the road from ft hood I'm happy to say. I have driven thru there many a time and was always happy to wave to our brave warriors. I know how proud you must be. I do wish you were closer-you could teach me to knit. I have yet to find anyone here that knows how. What do you like to read? I just retired from our library system here. I knew I was gonna like you!

Posted - Jul 06 2008 : 3:10:57 PM Hi Kate - Thanks for the reply. My husband and I have a cattle ranch in North Central Washington. Two boys - the oldest will take over the ranch in a couple of years; the youngest is in the Navy.
I do a lot of crochet, reading, and embroidery, some knitting too.
My oldest son was stationed in Fort Hood, TX when he was in the Army. I'll look on the map to see where Bryon is.
