Hi! I'm Steph from the North East Texas area. As you can tell by my username, I'm a knitter. I also weave and spin and other things that involve string! I have a small container garden, but hope to expand that next year. We're also going to be getting some chickens soon. (Need to get the chicken tractor built first)

Nice to meet everyone!

Steph

Spinning is addictive isn't it? I also found it leads to other fiber addictions. ....but that's not a bad thing right?

Now Kate, where in Tyler do you live??? Hubby tells me stories of how he lived on Easy Street back in the day...always makes me laugh and his last address was on Shiloh Road. I have been to Tyler on vacation and I loved the Brookshire's chinese food..crazy but good!!! And we went out to Noon day for the onions and some really good brisket at this little country store/diner.

HI Steph,
Kate from Tyler here. Welcome.....I think you're gonna love it here. I'm quite new but already feel a very strong kinship with all the Farmgirls. If you're ever in Tyler give me a holler.

Peace, Kate

Lorri -

I don't know how great of a teacher I'd be, but I'd be glad to help you get started. I'm in Longview. Also, if you're close to Lindale, there's a great weaving shop that has classes.

Let me know, we can get together and I can let you use one of my wheels. :)
