Posted - Jun 17 2008 : 5:50:54 PM Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Abbey. I've lived in Orlando off and on for the last 17 years but am originally from a small, rural community in the Saginaw Bay area in Michigan. I grew up on 80 acres there and still sometimes the traffic and noise are too much for me to take here, even after all these years, which is why I live in the outskirts now. I enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking, crochet and spending time with my two children. I only have a small spot to garden but make due with containers and take full advantage of Florida's weather. I dream of one day having more land, it won't be the acreage I grew up on, but just something more for my children to play and discover upon. I look forward to learning from and sharing with this fine group of ladies here. |

Posted - Jun 18 2008 : 06:42:23 AM Hello Abbey!! So glad that you found us. I have two children, living in Texas. My Grandfather lived in Orlando until his death--only got to visit him 2 times but Orlando was still fun. Hope you love it here as much as we do!

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug. -- Mark Twain |
