hi, my name is RikkiAnn, I grew up in the city, but my heart lies in the country life. Over time I have lived on 3 mini farms, as well as in town or the city. I grew up in Portland Oregon, but that was a long time ago...When I was little my pop would take us for drives in the country, he had a PA system (speaker) in the car and he would teach me to yodel, every time we passed the cows they would turn the heads… now we live in Davenport, Washington just at the edge of town, yet still in town. I do so miss being in the country. We are looking at maybe moving to Montana or somewhere else nearby and living in the county once again. The last country place we had, we raised 3 baby calf’s, but had to sell them when we moved. My mother-in-law, bless her heart even left an old Ewe Sheep with us for awhile who loved me, (she did not like men though), too bad for my husband and son-Ha Ha. Even though I grew up in the city, I always end up back in the country. Guess I'm just meant to be a country girl anyway. I came across MaryJanes magazine by accident, and now can't wait till the next issue is out. Guess I’d better send in my subscription. I made aprons for everyone this Christmas…it’s all MaryJanes fault! She inspired me. I've enjoyed reading excerpts from you all as I browsed. Hope I fit in. I do so miss having a piece of land again instead of just several lots. We actually looked at a place nearby today. Guess we will see what God has in store for us. Maybe he will send us to another piece of land. That’s our hope anyway. More shall be revealed…So, I’m just a newbie out here… RikkiAnn

Welcome, Rikki. I'm an apron maker myself. Hope you find your way back to the farm someday.

Howdy Rikki! We're so glad you made it-we've been waiting for you!
I think you're going to love it here. I think it's great you made aprons for everyone-that's my plan this Christmas too, but don't tell anyone-it's a surprise!

Hi Rikki,
How wonderful that you are here. Aprons for the family for Christmas, how busy you must have been. Country is just a part of who you are, where you come back to your roots. What a great grounding to have.
Glad you are here,
Carol Sue
