I joined this forum a long time ago but haven't posted much so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is Leah and my husband and I recently moved from South Dakota to East Texas with our two little boys, ages 4 and 21 months. We are expecting #3 in December. We have always lived in the country and had animals, gardened, etc., but were just able to buy our own place for the first time--12 acres and a little old farmhouse that we will be remodeling for the next 20 years! I love homemaking, crafting, cooking, growing things, poetry, good books, organic and natural living, fresh fruits and veggies, chocolate, animals, horseback riding, hanging out with my family and learning new skills.

I'm looking forward to spending more time here.

Hi Leah,
How fun to have your farm and remodeling or no, it is home.
Have fun chatting again here.

Howdy Leah from the great land of the Buckeyes!!! I am originally from P'burg--most of my family still lives there!! My husband is from Gilmer, so I migrated a whole 15 miles south!!! Hope you have a good one!

Dirt under my nails and weeds in my hair...don't tell me I can't dress up with flair!

Hi, Leah! Welcome from a Kentucky girl. We're working on a 1918 farmhouse in our 'spare' time, too. It could be a full time occupation(if only you could MAKE money at it, instead of SPENDING it! LOL).

Welcome Leah, I bet 20 years of remodeling won't do it!!! We have been doing it for 38 years. The first things we did, we just did the quick, cheap way. Now we are re-doing some of those things. Oh well, newer houses have to have repairs as well!!!
Hope you make lots of new friends here.
