Hi Everyone-

This place is great. I am so glad I stummbled across it.

My name is Lillian and I live just outside of Silverton, Oregon. I grew up in the city, thinking I would be a city girl all of my life. Until the love of my life showed me what country life is all about.

We have a little over 5 usable acres. We have dogs, cats and chickens. Seriously thinking about goats and/or sheep. My garden is HUGE and should be able to provide us with veggies all year again.

I do not know a lot of people that have the same ideas as I do, this is why I have joined this forum. After a few days of reading, I feel like I am home.

Oh, I guess I should also tell you a little about me and my family. I am a SAHM of 2 boys. My oldest is now away at college and the youngest is 16 and a junior in HS. My latest project is grinding my own flour, we just love homebaked bread here.

Hope to get to know you girs better.

Lillian

Howdy Lillian! We thought you'd never get here :) It's so nice to meet you. You will be right at home here and fit right in. I grind my own flour too..nice to meet someone else that does.
I hope you post often and if you ever need anything, just holler-somebody somewhere will help you :)

Hi Lillian....I grew up in Monmouth and we played Silverton in sports. I guess that makes us rivals! You will love it on this forum and hopefully you will join in often!

I wish I still lived in Oregon, I'd come over and check out your garden! See ya around! Cindy

Welcome Lilian.
A friend of mine ground some flour for me a few weeks ago and it was heavenly.

Welcome Lillian. I love Silverton, it's the cutest little city. I used to buy food at Roth's and eat it at the park next to the creek that runs through town. And the Oregon Garden is the greatest. I went the first year it was open, I bet it is even better now.
