Hi everyone! I'm a newbie and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Katie and I found MaryJane when someone donated one of her books to our library. I went online, found the site and the magazine and now I wanna be part of the fun! I'm starting my own chapter here, so suggestion and helpful hints are always appreciated
I was raised on a working farm/ranch out in west Texas as a kid and am now trying to find my way back to my roots. I am a firm believer in good organic food the concept of simple, basic living with a degree of self reliance. Pretty much everything MaryJane stands for, I believe in! I have four kids, a dozen chickens, three cats, two dogs, two geese and one possum (who will be moving on soon).
I hope I posted this right-if not, apologies...I'm still learning.

Thanks so much everyone for the nice welcome. The only bad thing about being a MJ farmgirl, is this site is soooooo addictive I'm on here more than I"m taking care of business!
Anji, I hope you guys have a great time with the 4-H event. SInce my kids aren't little anymore I'm sort of out of the loop on 4-H stuff-when will you be here? (and yes, we did send possum packing!)

Hi Kate- WELCOME! Great to meet you. I can't wait to hear all about how you spend your farmgirl days. I will be headed your way in the beginning of June, headed to state 4H in college station. Hoped you've packed up your possum and sent him on his way!

A big warm welcome to you Kate! Wonder if the magazine you read at the library was MaryJane's Premier Issue?!!! It is hard to find and worth some $$$$! Looking forward in getting to know you!
