Greetings from Oklahoma,

First off, my name is Cheryl, not Shi-anne (that was the family Border Collie's name). I grew up in a small town in rural Oklahoma, spending summers on the farm. Then I met this good lookin' country boy, who told me he would live in a tent before he'd live in town. My farmgirl faith was sealed.

That was 35 years ago and we are still in the country. We have 3 grown children, 2 boys still at home (11 & 12 yrs.) and 9 grands. We have Alpine dairy goats, rabbits, chickens, 2 hogs (Ham & Bacon), 2 dogs and a growing herd of cats. We garden and raise blackberries.

I was overwhelmed when I rec'd my MJ'sF magazine. I felt like I had just rec'd an IV of "grace, grit, & gumption" with a healthy dose of creative juices thrown in. Then I come to the website and there really are more gals living like me (and loving it!). Awesome!

It is going to be so much fun getting to know ya'll!

I have to admit, it is a larger/faster paced forum than the ones I have been on before. I keep loosing my posts! :-) Lots of interesting stuff going on, though. It will take me a while to get in the swing.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes!

Welcome Cheryl! You will definately find tons of kindred spirits here. I thought that no one thought the way I did or understood how comforting and charming farmlife is. But here is a whole world of farmgirls just like me, whether they farm in the city, the country, or their hearts! It's a wonderful feeling to know I can log on to my farmgirl family. I'm at home here and I know you will be too.
