Posted - Apr 30 2008 : 06:11:20 AM Welcome, Samantha! You are going to love it here! Veggie gardening, roses and hummingbirds - yep!! those are all on my favorites list, too. You just reminded me that I need to get my hummingbird feeder out. We saw one a few days ago in the yard. I'm from Oklahoma, so you are not far from me.

Posted - Apr 27 2008 : 2:53:28 PM Welcome Samantha. I love when the hummingbirds come around here, planted butterfly bush and other wonderful plants to bring them around. It is glorious to get to watch them sitting in our small front yard. My dh and I really enjoy it. So glad that you are here. Carol Sue

Posted - Apr 25 2008 : 05:06:00 AM Hello Samantha from Northeast Texas. I'm from central Kentucky. I've been to Texas once on a trip with a bus load of school kids. We went to San Antonio & Houston. Did the Alamo and the River Walk. Would like to come back sometime. We have hummingbirds here as well. Lots of people put out feeders for them. I have a vegetable garden. Have already planted potatoes, onions, beets and cabbage. We usually do the majority of our planting on Derby Day (Kentucky Derby that is and that will be May 3) Our Spring has been unusually warm this year. I hope it continues. We have only had 2 frosts. We usually don't have any after the first of May. Have you already planted? Hope you meet lots of new people here.
