Posted - Sep 20 2005 : 5:07:13 PM sent my way, please! As some of you know, I closed on my house in TN 2 weeks ago today. Since I travel so much for my work, I won't be moving in until mid-October. Here is my schedule for the next few weeks...today, I am finishing up the packing on my apartment in ID. I have to have it completely packed, clean and empty by three tomorrow afternoon. Everything is going into a storage unit. I leave Thursday morning for Boise (with a stop at MaryJane's Farm along the way!!!)I will be in Boise two days for some training on a laser machine I have. Then it's 2200 miles across country to TN, where I will drop off whatever I have packed in my truck, and to do some cleaning on the house, transfer utilities, etc. I am taking a bus to Nashville to catch a plane for a show in Orlando. After the show is over, I am packing up my house in FL, loading it into a moving truck and driving it up to TN, where I will unload it. Then it is back to Nashville to drop off the truck and catch another plane to Sacramento for another show. Then I have a show in Seattle the next weekend (the last one of the year, thank goodness). From there, I will fly back to Spokane/Coeur D'Alene, rent another moving truck, pack up the storage unit and drive to TN again. All this within the next three weeks. I am feeling a little overwhelmed right now and could use a kick in the pants to get me moving again. I might be done with the packing if I wasn't typing here. I think I am just wishing I had my mom or sister here to help me, or that the Moving Truck Fairy will pop in and say, "I'll drive those trucks for you, pack and unload them, too!" (I'm not looking for Prince Charming, just a hunky, strong, single truck driver!!!) Oh, well, back to the real world...

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 1:22:00 PM Well, I have made it through the first part of my journey! I have been in Sparta since Wednesday and am now at the airport getting ready to fly home to Florida to pack up my house. I went to an estate sale yesterday - my first auction. Have any of you been to one? I had a GREAT time and picked up a couple of pieces of furniture from the late 1800's. I got a maple drop leaf table (hand-made around 1900) for $40!!! I also picked up a beautiful fireplace mantle from the early 1800's that I want to use as a headboard in my bedroom. I am hooked now, and hope to go to another sale next month. I am looking for twin beds for three bedrooms. Wish me luck! Hope everyone is doing well out there. It's a beautiful day today.

Posted - Sep 25 2005 : 11:07:10 PM I made it as far as Cheyenne today. Since I have never been in Wyoming before, I am spending a little time exploring. It is beautiful here! I hope to make it to Missouri tomorrow, but at least through a lot of Nebraska. I will check in tomorrow night. Thanks for all the good thoughts being sent my way...I feel very safe on my trip! Love to all of you.

Posted - Sep 24 2005 : 11:09:12 PM My aunt moved to Nashville for a job years ago - she hated the job but she said her time in TN was more than worth it. I hope you find the area that enjoyable as well.

Posted - Sep 24 2005 : 9:36:44 PM So far, the traveling is good. I was in Nampa, ID for the past two days for some training on a laser machine I bought. I finished the training around 2 today and they packed up my machine, loaded it into the back of my truck, and off I went. I made it to Ogden, UT tonight and will be leaving in the morning and driving through Wyoming on I80. I don't mind the driving - the scenery is beautiful, the weather has been good, and being alone gives me lots of time to think and plan. Knowing I can log on here and chat makes it a lot easier, too. I am wondering when I drive if I am driving right past any farm girls from here. There are so many pretty little towns I would love to stop and explore! I will log on again tomorrow and let you know where I am. Thanks for all the good thoughts...I am traveling in good company!

Posted - Sep 22 2005 : 10:54:42 PM Y'all are great. I am on the first day of my travel to TN, and it has been wonderful so far. I left Coeur D'Alene this morning and drove to Boise, where I am now. I just finished a nice hot bath, a cup of tea (great idea, Julia!) and am settled into my bed with my computer catching up on the goings on here. The best part of today? I got to spend a few hours at MaryJane's Farm
I am going to post the details on a new topic in Welcome Wagon.
