Hello Everyone! I'm a Farmgirl from Indiana and would love to get in touch with farmgirls from around the nation. I just signed up to start a Farmgirl Chapter in my area, so any suggestions and tips would be awesome... If anyone wants to join, look us up... We are the Barn Chicks in Lanesville. Maybe we could be a sister chapter to some of you out there and swap ideas and such! Anyways, I am so excited to be apart of Mary Janes Farm connections, because with me being young (26) it's hard to find like-minded women who understand my love of farming, crafting, vintage/antiques, and just plain ole living in the country. I was born in the wrong time era, I guess. Email me sometime and I promise to email back Cecilyrae04@yahoo.com

Hey Jonni, I looked at my schedule and unfortunately that is my weekend to work. SO UPSET!!! I love antique shows! If you hear of anymore in the general area, please let me know. Again... thanks for the invite.

That sounds absolutely WONDERFUL Jonni! I will definately keep that in mind and try to get some of the girls together! I will have to check my work schedule, though... I work a lot of hours :( I REALLY appreciate the invite!

We surely are, Cecily! We're having a farmgirl get together May 18th at the Burlington (Kentucky) antique show if you're game....and you're more than welcome! It's only about an hour and half north, and filled with farmgirl treasures :)

I love the Louisville area and get there quite a bit--seems to be where my husband and I spend our anniversaries (we have a fave restaurant on Bardstown Rd.)...

Can't wait to know more about you, and seriously, consider coming up to Burlington--a lot of this gang will be there :)

Hey Jonni! Lanesville is west of Louisville... about 15 minutes from the Shermon-Minton Bridge. We must live pretty close:)

Howdy, Cecily, Welcome to the forum!!! Where is Lanesville? I'm a farmgirl from Northern Kentucky, very near the Indiana border, about 1 1/2 from Indy.

Seems like you've settled in right nice, and you'll have such a good time here. These ladies know just about everything, and are the kindest souls you could know. Congrats on your new chapter!

Hey Alee! Thanks for the posting tip!!! Yes, I am the chapter leader... still waiting for my kit to arrive, though. The girls will be soooooo excited when it comes in.

I meant to tell you in my earlier post--we almost names our first daughter CECILY. I had a favorite uncle whose name was Cecil. I saw the name Cecily in a baby book and thought it was a neat name. But as time grew nearer, we settled on Cathy--no family name or anything!!!!!

Hi Cecily!

Welcome to the forums! The chapter you joined sounds wonderful- are you the chapter leader?

PS there is a "quick reply" box at the bottom of the page that you can use if you like instead of replying to each post. It took me a few days to find it when I first joined. :D

So nice to hear from all of you! I didn't realize that there were so many women that live so close to me that are part of this farmgirl connection... How Cool!!! I was wondering... has there ever been a farmgirl convention where all the farmgirls who talk to eachother online everyday get to meet and spend time together? That would be neat.
