Here is a good book - not fiction however - about growing up in the Palouse country in eastern Washington. It is called ATOMIC FARMGIRL. It is an easy read and should get you to thinking.

Jenn, Now that the day is winding down, has whatever that is making you feel down gotten better? I hope so. We're here for you...

How about the Egg and I by Betty McDonald? I have been reading a book that I picked up at our local library sale called Farm Wanted, by Helen Train Hilles. It is an older book so hopfully you library can get it for you. It is about a NY couple that buys a farm as a week-end getaway. It turns out to be more. Delightful, light reading.

Have you read "Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver? I've read it over and over again-- it always does the trick for me!
