Hi Ya'll

I'm finally "jumping in with both feet." I have been reading posts for several months now, but I just signed up to become an official member. I cannot begin to tell you ladies how much I appreciate all of the information I have learned. Your wisdom is humbling.

I am a mother of 3 - 4 with my boyfriend's son. I have always loved the farmgirl life, but haven't always had a place that I felt confident enough to BE that farmgirl. After reading MJ's Lifebook, I didn't care where I was, I was going to be a farmgirl. I sat up with that book, reading to my hearts content when finally, with a peace of mind that I haven't felt in years, I pulled the book into my arms and hugged it. I am SO happy!

oh ~ that other stuff. I am 31 yoa. I live in Austin, TX and I love to try all sorts of crafts and forgotten arts. I also love anything from the turn of the century. I try any old technique at least once. I think I gain more of an apprectiation for our modern conveniences. I cannot wait to chat with all of you!

OK NAPA - I think you just like the looks of them!!! The Clark Brothers. Have you heard their music? he he
Usually when I have the radio on, it's on KGSR, but I am constantly flipping stations here. KGSR really is a great station.

Frannie in texas . . . I actually figured out a couple of things on my blog, so you can hop on over and check it out anytime. I am so proud of myself! Thanks for the advice too - I nearly always walk away and wonder if anyone would notice a computer wall hanging. I don't think it would look as good as a quilt would.

I am really upset because I can't go to roundtop. I have this other "little" thing going on ~ I'm moving into my new house this weekend!!!!! I posted a picture of it on my blog, but it was from a while ago and I WILL post more!

Napa - I'll head to your post right now.
oh yeah, that's me in my new itty bitty bathtub!

tif just checkin in to see if you ever got a blog up. they can be so fun and frustrating at the same time. i'm anxious to talk crafts with ya and so glad another farmgirl from texas is here.
anyway, when you work on your blog, my hint is when you get frustrated just walk away from the computer, resist the urge to throw it against the wall, it will all work out.
are any of you austin girls going to roundtop this week, if so let me know how it went. i missed going this year.

Hey Napa thanks for the warm welcome. I absolutely love austin! Call me crazy or stupid, but I hardly go to hear music. We usually go downtown for SXSW and listen to the random bands and watch people. It's hard to get out w/all my kiddos. It's funny that you listen to an austin radiostation - I cannot find one here that I like. I find that ironic being that it is the "music capital" and all.

This is so fun! I actually tried to start a blog so I can get some pictures of some of my accomplishments, but ughhh I get lost on computers after 20 minutes. I can't wait to share. I finished and started so many projects since I found my inspiration in MJ's book, but I don't have anyone to share my joy!

I have so much to learn . . .

Oh, Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I am already trying to figure out how to fit going to houston by way of New Braunfels or to Colorado by way of OK border to visit some of you.

I feel blessed that both Frannies :-) and Miss Bee Haven have welcomed me - I have read so many of your posts, I feel like I already know you!
Thank you again. I don't know whether to laugh, jump up and down, or dance! Maybe I'll do all 3
