Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 07:04:31 AM Thanks Everyone. Denise, I live about 1/2 way between Macon and Augusta. We live way back in the woods and I love it. I grew up in Metro Atlanta, where my Mother and 5 of my 6 sisters, brothers, and their families live. When I go visit the city up there I am so thankful to get back to our farm. I recently decided to quit my job(regular paycheck one that is) and stay here on the farm. That means back to basics, buying unnecessary stuff we don't need and raising a lot of what we eat. So far so good. Hopefully we won't have the horrible drought this year and gardening will be a little easier. I was so thankful to find MaryJanes Farmgirl Connection and all your great sites. The forum is loaded with information I am already using. I can't wait to read more. Thank-you to all of you! |

Posted - Feb 06 2008 : 07:45:52 AM Hi Pam, welcome. All the girls are so nice to newbies her, you're gonna love it. When I was a kid Georgia was my favorite state. We used to live in Florida and drove through a few times. I loved the Spanish moss, peach and pecan stands, and all the farmland. I love the Indigo Girls, and can't think of Georgia without thinking of their song, Southland in the Springtime.
