I'm so excited to be part of your group! I just stumbled upon this and was thrilled because my sister introduced me to MaryJanesFarm this past year. My family and I moved to Rural America from the suburbs a few years ago. Since then we have been gardening, raising goats and chickens, collecting the cats that others throw away and just enjoying the fresh air and peace and quiet. (I say 'peace and quiet' with tongue in cheek. There's too many living things around here to be too quiet!)
Looking forward to meeting y'all!

Michelle,
Welcome you and your "noisy" critters. That made me laugh.

A big warm welcome to you Michelle! I know what you mean by "peace & quiet". Between the donkeys next door, the cows in the back pasture and the clucking guineas, there is not much quiet either. But it is such a peaceful noise and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

A nicer group of ladies you'll never meet!

Blessings, Lea

And about my goats: I have a few mixed breed pet goats and 2 purebred nigerian dwarf dairy goats. These goats and the mixed breeds are by far the easiest keepers. I also have purebred LaMancha dairy goats. These give lots of great milk and have great personalities.

Welcome Michelle!! It will be fun to get to know you here...I agree about a place with critters not exactly being peace and quiet..but it IS nice. I am glad you found us!

The girls are so nice here! You're gonna love it! I'd love to hear more about your goats. We just moved to the country from the burbs too! I'm going to collect dogs.
