Mucking Boots Posted - Jan 08 2008 : 01:31:36 AM
Guess who can't sleep!? I am from beautiful Idaho and need deep restoration. Yesterday I found this website and felt like I had come home. I am a true blue farmgirl, and yes, I wear mucking boots. Against the wall in the mudroom is a long row of them, from tiny to huge and I love it. To me, that row of dirty mucking boots is a symbol of how hard we all work.

I remarried this past year and so we have 11 together, nine are mine, two are his and three of the eleven are married. He has 4 grandchildren and my first is on the way this fall. I am excited for this little blessing. In fact, I just started a yo-yo quilt

Can't wait to get to know you all and learn from you. Sleep tight!

Howdy, Bernadine! One of my favorite musicians, Otis Gibbs sings a song with your name in it--how likely is that????

Sounds like you have a house brimming over with love and life. That's wonderful. Welcome to the forum. Lot's to do here!!!

Welcome, Bernadine. You and I are not too far apart as I'm just here in Idaho City. I love the image of all the boots lined up. You sure have your hands full!

You've stumbled on the best collaboration of women anywhere in the world. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. And probably meeting you at some point:)

Welcome, Bernadine! Of the eleven children, assuming three married ones are out of the house, how many are left at home? I love the visual of the row of mucking boots lined up against the wall; THAT would be a picture worthy of posting!
