I am so excited to be here!

I was introduced to Mary Jane through her Ideabook. I read it in one day (so much for laundry) and immediately felt like I was meeting a native from my "homeland". I guess what I'm trying to say is that I felt a sense of coming home. Did anyone else feel that way?
I realized that there are other women still around who love farmgirl life! I was so thrilled!

Let me give a brief bio: My name is Laura, I'm a 28 year old mother of three. In just six short weeks, I'll be a mother of four. I've been married to my teenage sweetheart for ten wonderful years. I live in a small town about an hour outside of Philadelphia, PA. Which puts me halfway between the "big city" and Amish country. I was raised on a working farm until I was 10 years old and I am so grateful for the opportunities and experiences that my upbringing gave me. My husband still laughs when I talk about how we would make our own sauerkraut, can all of our leftover harvest and butcher pigs every fall. He's a die-hard city boy, can't you tell?Such is love, right?
At any rate, I am ecsatic to be a part of this amazing online group, and although I can't guarantee that I'll be able to find time in the next couple of months to post, I'll be visitng as much as I can!

Hi Laura,
Welcome. I am new here too. I fell in love with MaryJane's book the same way so many here did. I am 25 and have been married to my high school sweet heart for 7 years. You go girl! We have 1 son, he's two. I had him by c-section and I was amazed to hear that you have had all of yours by c- section. I have been too scared to have anymore because of it. I have heard so many bad things about repeat c-sections. You give me hope! You will love the group. I don't have much time to post either, but I love it.

So nice to have you here, Laura! Yes, I felt the same way when I read MaryJane's book. I think I let out a deep sigh, in fact. It was comforting that I'm not alone! And now I'm really not alone. What a wonderful group of friends you'll meet here.

Congratulations on your new precious one! Wishing you both the best.

Blessings, Lea

Thank you again!
Zan, this is actually a fanastic area, with all the convienience of the city and all the space and rural/small town feel of the country. Lancaster County, PA is just a few mintues from here, and I loved living there also. We moved to Parkesburg about 18 months ago because of it's WONDERFUL schools, and because we wanted our kids to experience living in a "neighborhood".
We have three incredible children. From oldest to youngest, they're Charles (Charlie)age 8, Elizabeth (Libby) age 7 and Katherine (Katy) age 4. Unless our ultra sound was waaay off our youngest daughter, Sarah (Sally) will be born January 22nd.
We have a planned c-section due to some complications. Nothing serious, I've had all our babies c-section.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

I'd love to share pictures of the kids, as soon as I figure out how to do that...
