Hi all,

This is Donna from southern Indiana and I am so excited to find all of you Farmgirls! I am a true southern girl having been born and raised on the family farm in Western KY. I am married to a wonderful husband of 20 yrs and we have 2 daughters, 18 & 9 yrs old.

Presently we live in a small city in sw IN and are making plans to head back to the family farm within the next 5 yrs. We spend many weekends at the farm helping my dad with the cattle, hay, tobacco and other farm activities. I am hoping to get some bee hives next spring and have my own source of honey.

I can't wait to meet all of you and find a chapter in my area.

Hey Donna--
I'm a Kentucky farmgirl, and I spent most of my childhood summers in Evansville, Indiana! Downtown, in fact, in one of those grand old apartment buildings from the 20's. Gorgeous!!! My daddy was in the racing industry, and he worked at Ellis Park all summer.

I think you'll just love it here--so much to learn, to talk about, and so many friends!

Thanks for the kind welcomes. Now to find a farmgirl chapter close to me (wonder if a KY chapter would let me join?) and get started on some projects! I just checked out the Farmgirl Sisterhood information and I'm ready to join now...having been a 4-H'er, the projects bring back many happy memories and makes me feel like a kid again! Plus, earning badges and showing them off to all of my friends would be great.

Heyas Donna, welcome. Well, I can envy someone getting into beekeeping, as I've been interested but they don't *ahem* really allow for it in NYC :)

Welcome Donna! I went to the Univ of Evansville in the mid 70's during the big snowstorm that closed the school (and pretty much the entire town) for an entire week! Beautiful area!

Hi Donna! Welcome to the Farm, you will find so many friends here!

I went to college in Bowling Green so I had to say Hi to a Kentucky/Indiana girl. I probably live about an hour and a half north of you. Please keep chatting and let us know how things go!
