Posted - Dec 10 2007 : 2:09:45 PM Hello to all....I have heard so much about this forum and decided it was time for me to join. I've missed alot of our old friends and decided this would be a good way to find 'you' and to meet new friends. I will check the forums often and look forward to conversations about my favorite subjects: decorating, creating, collecting antiques, cooking etc. Most of you will remember me and Art from Country Living magazines and books, also Mary Emmerling's magazine and books when we created Cabin Creek Farm back in 1991. Also our 10 busy years of making our hand-lettered signs and shipping all over the country - AND - the dozen or so Folk Art shows along the east coast and around the country several times each year. Whew - I get tired just thinking about it again but never get tired of the memories.
Look forward to hearing from you, Hannah |

Posted - Dec 11 2007 : 07:10:35 AM Hello to all and thank you for the warm welcome. I'm enjoying all the nice emails and always LOVE hearing how many of you followed me and Art through the years...we've really missed that contact since we closed our business. I think most of you kept more of the magazines and books we were in than we did!! I'm finding that most of you never saw the October 1998 issue of Country Living when they came back to photograph the additional cabin we added with a large addition. Art and I crafted the addition so it looked like it had been there as long as the cabin - that was a wonderful 8 page article so keep an eye out for it when you see old CL magazines. There is also a very good article/photos in Log Homes Illustrated, Country Sampler Christmas and Veranda magazine. I mention these mag. as our home now still looks about the same today, just on a much smaller scale. No logs but early colors on the walls do wonders! I will soon post photos when I figure out how to do that on here! I am really delighted that I can once again have contact with you all. When we sold the cabins it was sudden and there was little time to let everyone know where we were going and what we were going to do....we stayed in Lexington, Ky for a year and then moved to Indiana for two years. Once the 'dust settled' we came back to Greensburg to be near one of our daughters and her family. We are enjoying life, still decorating, still cooking and Art and I are together everyday. Now girls, be careful what you wish for when you say "I wish my husband would help with the decorating".....EVERYDAY I FIND SOMETHING CHANGED! Someone on here yesterday asked if we would ever buy another early home to restore and no, there isn't a chance. We've done that on Cape Cod, Vermont and Kentucky so we're content with that. Thanks again for all your warm welcomes and I will try to be on here whenever time permits. I have a few projects I'm working on so have little time. My best to all, Hannah
