Posted - Dec 04 2007 : 10:27:00 AM Hello there from Tennessee !!
I live on 4 ac out in the middle of the land of cotton. Sometimes soybeans and also corn. We have been here now for over 19 yrs. At first I thought that my husband lost his mind, moving this city girl out where they never heard of street lights!! Now, you couldn't get me off my hill for nothing.
I have been married for 21 yrs, have 3 daughters, 18, 13 & 9. I homeschool and now have a college freshman.
My husband was raised on a farm in Ill. and it all country. For that, my girls know no other type life.
At this time, we only have dogs. We did have some goats, but that did not go over real big. I hope to have a new chicken coop by Spring and if the Lord is willing, a garden also.
I love to cook, bake and quilt. I also love anything rustic, old and country.
I look forward to being a part of you girls here and learning all that I can from you.

Posted - Dec 07 2007 : 09:16:00 AM A big warm welcome to you Pat!
Sounds like you and I have a lot in common. I am in West Tennessee on a small up and coming farm ~ though we are new to the lifestyle. I homeschool my 3 BOYS ~ ages 18, 13 & 10. And rustic is my favorite as well. How neat!
I look so forward to getting to know you better.

Posted - Dec 06 2007 : 4:09:30 PM Welcome Pat! You've found the best group of women anywhere, (IMHO) it's like having a "home-away-from-home". You'll have fun meeting all the farmgirls that also love rustic, old & country, there's a bunch of us.
