Posted - Nov 27 2007 : 9:02:13 PM Hi Cassidy & Linda, Aren't we lucky girls to be part of such a nice group? Today is my first day and I'm hooked! What lovely girls there are here!
Cassidy, you are just a doll. You could be the face of Farmgirl. It is so nice that you and your mom share your interests. I bet you both have a lot of fun together.
Linda, can't wait to hear more about your goats. It is one of my goals for next year to have some milkers. And congratulation on returning to school. You are so courageous. We're never too old to learn more. It keeps us young! Best wishes for lots of success.
Looking forward to knowing you both better!
Blessings, Lea

Posted - Nov 15 2007 : 8:14:55 PM Hi KYgurlsrbest,
thanks for the welcome !! I am on the outskirts of Manchester. I am almost in Brown County. West Union is only about 15 minutes from me. Its pretty country but where I am its really hilly and steep. The goats like it but in the winter its hard on my bottom when I slip on the hills so much in the mud. It is really pretty here but a little rough on the body to farm. But its very quiet and peaceful here. Thats the best part about it. I just need to take time to enjoy it and not stay so busy all the time. Well gotta go. I should have been in bed 6;00 rolls around to early. Take care. wooliespinner

And Linda - it's so nice to "meet" you, too. About your friend, would you mind clicking on my name and e-mailing me her name and e-mail address? I'll check it out with Carol, our registration and website (amongst MANY other things!) gal.
Again, WELCOME to both of ya'!

Posted - Nov 15 2007 : 07:01:19 AM Howdy, Linda! I know Manchester well. My grandfather's clan comes from West Union, Ohio, and Lynx. I always loved our family reunions out that way--such pretty country!
Sounds like a lovely life you have, what with the goats and other furry critters. Enjoy your time here, it's surely a pleasure, so treat yourself!!!
Oh, and welcome!!!!

Posted - Nov 15 2007 : 06:58:24 AM Thanks for the welcome. I just finished cleaning up from chores. Lots of mud at the barn. It turned cold over night. It was 67 here yesterday and now its 40. Not that 40 is cold but its a big change that happened very quickly. I had a question. I friend of mine is the one that told me about this website. I signed on and was accepted the same day. She signed on a month ago and heard nothing. She took a chance and signed on again. Still nothing. She even emailed and still no reply. I was wondering is there anything she could do to find out why its not working ??? She is a super lady and I feel really bad for her. She has allot of Mary Janes books and visits the site quite a bit. She really wants to chat but something just is not working. Any suggestions would be geatly appreciated. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Well gotta go. Take care.

Posted - Nov 14 2007 : 07:15:31 AM Hi my name is Linda. I am from Adams County Ohio. I am new to this site. Glad I finally figured out how to reply. I am not very computer savy. A friend of mine told me about this site. I was really excited to join. I live on 46 acres of hills. I raise nubian dairy goats which I milk for drinking, soft cheese making and also soap. I have a few romney wool sheep as fiber pets. I have allot of chickens but not sure exactly how many. They move around so much I can never get a descent count......lol.Five pyrenese dogs, 1 rescue coon shepard cross dog and 8 rescue cats. I finally got them all fixed. Anyway wanted to say hi to everyone and hope to have time to get on the computer once in awhile to read what is going on. I started back to school in the evenings.......at the age of 44. I must be nuts !!! I have allot of homework.....I forgot how much it could be. Well take care everyone. Hope to chat with everyone soon.
