I'm new as of five minutes ago and am looking forward to chatting. I live in Salt Lake City. My husband and I moved here from Los Angeles three months ago and we love it. We live in an old '20s bungalow in the Sugarhouse area of the city with our dog, Fritz and two Siamese cats Topo Grigio and Keiko.

We're 59 and 58 years old. My husband is a retired University professor. He taught Theoretical Physicis and Mechanical Engineering on the post-grad level at Cambridge University in England for 24 years. Now he's devoted to our garden, such as it is. He's a great cook and I'm good at cleaning up after him.

I've been a professional pet psychic for 30 years and I'm also a Methodist minister (with no church at the moment). We are involved in various animal rescue organizations. I enjoy all needlework, especially embroidery and knitting, and reading. I used to be a reporter in NY and still free-lance and I'm getting going on a mystery about (no big surprise here) a pet psychic!

I have three grown kids - son Patrick lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah, which is about a half hour South, my daughter Christina lives in Orem, about 45 minutes South and my son Pete lives in Florida.

I guess that's enough about me for now. I'm looking forward to reading Maryjane's new book. I love her magazines and philosophy.

Blessings,
Patricia

PS I hope I did this right. I'm not a computer whiz. More like a computer fizz.

Happy Wishes!

Oh boy....two new Utah gals in one day!!! I am so excited!! I think there are at least 4 of us now!!! (that I know of!) how fun. We would have to have a statewide get together to meet each other though, since we are spread from Hurricane to SLC as far as I know.
I am in Manti (about the middle..hey..I am up for a get together HERE some time..any time)
I love Sugarhouse..what a pretty area! I love SugarHouse park!! Wow..huge! We moved here from Calif..but not the big city..came from Arroyo Grande (right by Pismo Beach)3 years ago. We love it here in the boonies. For a big city I don't mind driving in SLC nearly as much as some places. I would never drive at all if we had to visit LA when we were in Calif!!! Scared the heck out of me!
I am so glad you are here!!! You sound so interesting and have stuff in common with all us pet loving needleworking gals! You will LOVE the book I am sure of it!! Welcome to the family!!!!
