Posted - Jul 09 2005 : 09:18:29 AM Hello!
I work at a public library and found MaryJanesBook when I was typing up its spine label, got my paws on it and completely fell in love. Hooray for the Book!
I grew up on a 7-acre "farm" with occasional sheep, horse, cattle, cats, dogs and garden. I now live in a 2-br apartment and long for the days when I can have some outdoor space again. In the meantime I work and teach crochet classes.
I'm really excited to find a forum for Farmgirls--one that's got so many topics. Hooray!

Posted - Jul 10 2005 : 10:55:44 AM Hi Kathy - We have family in Cherry Valley. My hubby grew up in your area. We have been in the Dekalb area many times, about once a year. I have spent time driving the farm roads and photographing barns.
Welcome to you in Illinois, my home state! Keep posting and telling us about your farmgirl dreams.

Posted - Jul 09 2005 : 09:44:37 AM Welcome Kathy, Great book, Huh! Nice to hear the libraries are getting the book in. My copy sits on my foot stool always ready to go when I have a few minutes to read. Even though you don't have outdoor space, the dream is still there and I'm sure will happen for you. Enjoy the forum. KarenP
