Life has brought many changes to me over the past few years. I live in a small farming community that is too quickly becoming citified. As I’ve searched for what I want my life to be and for friends with similar values and interests, I realize that I’d like to keep my small corner of the world country…and okay… a little bit old-fashioned. My early childhood was spent on a farm and the memories are heartwarming. MaryJanesFarm “Artists in Aprons” is what caught my attention. Since bringing that magazine home, I’ve been reading many of the posts and starting to dream…..maybe I can have a few chickens (love fresh eggs) and a cow on my own? Much work to be done! I enjoy piecing quilts and want to learn how to hand quilt. I’m actually in the process of making myself an apron.

It is amazing all the projects you ladies are involved in. How do you get it all done?!

Wow! Everyone is so friendly. Thanks for the warm welcomes. West Haven is located just west of Ogden. And I think it would be great to have a Utah Farmgirl Get Together!

Hey, Vicki...welcome to farmgirls. I'm in Evanston and know where West Haven is. If you girls have a Utah get together, can I be included? I do live about 3 miles from the UT border. Does that count?

Anyway, welcome and get those chickens, girl. Get some silkies.....they have the cutest faces and lay these sweet little brown eggs. I have two of them, Thing One and thing Two. Love 'em!

Email me anytime with questions about farmgirls or just to chat!
