Hey everyone. I've been reading Mary Jane books and magazines for a while and have ordered a few of her products. I would love to visit her farm one day.

I live in north central Missouri. My husband and I have just purchased some acres in the county with a house and a pond. Not sure what I'm going to do out there yet but am looking forward to finding out.

The people who owned the house before us did a lot of good things out there. The wife makes triangle looms and has built me a 7 footer and a littlier one for my daughter. She's also given me lessons so that I can weave shawls and blankets. Fun, fun. Does anyone else weave? I've also started to quilt and am almost finished with my first quilt for my daughter. Then I will start a denim Denver Bronco quilt for my oldest son and another one for hubby.

We have three kids 12-yr-old son, 5-yr-old daughter, and a 3-yr-old son. They keep us busy.

I am looking forward to visiting with everyone!!

Hi, Debbie - welcome! I have a rigid heddle loom - I am simply NOT brave enough to tackle a 4-harness loom like Aunt Jenny - or even have one in my house...too much math for me! My friend has the triangle looms and wanted me to get one, but the rigid heddle is enough for me right now...my little crafting projects and shawls. I want to make a rug, and even have the yarn, but just haven't gotten my "round tuit" yet. You will have lots of fun here, we all do! Judy

Welcome Debbie! I have always thought a triangle loom looked like fun. I do a little weaving...I have a small navajo loom and a big 4 harness loom that I havn't tackled yet. I need to find someone local to help me warp it. I think you will love this group..I sure do!!

Hi Debbie!!! Welcome to the forum!!!! I've never truly tried weaving (though my daughter does have a small loom that she got for her birthday last fall), but it's something I always thought would be a fantastic hobby. Would love to see some of your weaving!!!

Welcome Debbie!

I a novice weaver myself. A friend of mine is teaching me and also wants to teach me how to spin. She has sheep and lamas and we just got done with shearing at her place. Would definetly like to chat about our weaving and our progress. I also do quilting, knitting, crocheting, braid/crochet rugs, and sewing. Look forward to hearing more about your country experiences. Bet the kids will the it!

Peace and love.

Annie

Hi Debbie!

I am sure you are going to love it here at the forum! You should plan on coming next July for the get-together! It won't be at the farm but rather will be at the Old Mill! I think many of us are planning on staying at the farm the night before though!

Your land sounds great! Can you post some pictures of your weavings?
