Hello from PA, This is my first post! My name is Morgen and I am a stay at home mom to my wonderful three children ages 11, 9, and 7. My husband of 14 years ( yesterday ) and I moved to a very rural community in North Central PA about 7 years ago and love it. We have 1 stoplight in our county!! I am learning all sorts of things like gardening, knitting crocheting, sewing, and chasing off bears! I am so excited about joining this forum. You all seem wonderful! Thanks for accepting me into your midst. I'm hoping to start a farmgirl group here in our area very soon, hopefully this summer. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Hi Morgen! Glad to have you here, welcome. Sounds like you live in a wonderful country setting. Like watches stoplights are just ulcer makers. I love my county which has zippo stoplights. I don't own a watch, but I'm rarely late, maybe because we have no stoplights to slow me down.

Best,
Cynthia

Morgen, it seems that we PA girls are fairly spread out across the state. I think we will have to plan a get together some day so that we can all get to know each other!

Keep Smiling.....Bev

Hi Morgen! Welcome to the forum! We need more East Coast gals! Question, I assume that the knitting, crochet, sewing and bear catching are not done at the same time? Or are they? Maybe you actually crochet a bear trap? Big crochet hook!

Morgen: Hi and welcome! You're in a gorgeous area - I used to live in Hollidaysburg. I sure do miss the falls with the sugar maples...but not the winters with those snows!

I hope you enjoy your time spent here on the Farmgirl Connection as much as I have. There are lots of *GREAT* ladies willing to share some *FAB* information! Hope you're having a wonderful day! ~ Kaylyn

Hello and welcome! I'm new here myself but I'd like to say hello too :) My ex-in-laws (though still very close, bless them) live in PA and we used to visit them several times a year. Peachbottom! And what a beautiful state you have there, I'm glad you are enjoying it. I look forward to knowing you better.

We are in Coudersport near the NY border about the center of the state. We moved here 7 years ago and live about 9 miles from town back a dirt road on two acres. I dont have any animals though I'd dearly love to keep chickens or bees. We are surrounded by state gamelands and black bears that take everything!!!! They killed some rabbits we got soon after getting here. So I am gardening and growing things for the animals to eat. We have three dogs and a few cats to keep the rodents out of the house. I homeschool the kids with a group of other families here and I must admit my favorite part is not rushing out in the snow in the winter mornings!! We love hiking and geocaching and gardening and the ands go on and on.... oh yeah fishing! I have been through Millerstown a few times and it is beautiful country. Thank you for your warm welcome. I cant wait til schools out and I can explore the site even more.
