Posted - Nov 11 2020 : 12:35:08 PM Is there a way to tell if a chapter is still active? I've sent multiple emails over the years only to never receive a response.
Also, is there a way to create virtual chapters? We currently live in one place but, if we can make it happen, we're going to be moving much, much more remote and about 80-100 miles away from where we currently live in the next 18 months, so I don't want to start a chapter here in the 98366 zip code if we might be moving. I'd LOVE a virtual chapter - and it's quite appropriate here in the time of COVID.

I tried calling the number I have on file for that chapter leader and it was disconnected. Bummer! I went ahead and deleted that chapter from our roster. Brian |

Posted - Jan 31 2021 : 09:33:15 AM Hay there.
Brian, my virtual chapter is still active. I have been absent for a while but never got an email from you so I'm guessing our chapter is all good. I am in the process of some "housecleaning" within our group so some will be weeded out and hopefully some will join. For those that still wish to be in this chapter please reach out to me or expect an email from me soon. I need new/current email address and then mailing addresses to get your supplies to you. Thanks for all you do, Brian. Hugs.

Posted - Jan 23 2021 : 9:31:26 PM I just started a Chapter December 2020 in California - Brentwood Farm Girls. We are meeting virtually on Zoom the 3rd Thursday every month during Pandemic. We just held our Tea Party and Meeting on 1/21/21. We had so much fun. We played Tea Trivia T/F and did a Scavenger Hunt - so much fun to see everyone scramble for a Starbucks gift Card. So far, we have 25 chapter members, 4 are in Sisterhood and we have 2 Young Cultivators. We just keep growing* Search Facebook to find us - Brentwood Farm Girls Candy Hogan |

Posted - Jan 14 2021 : 3:14:18 PM Hi Ashley and Andrea, You can search for a chapter in your area here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Chapters/Search.asp I suggest searching by state since it's easy to know which neighboring town is within driving distance. We did remove a LOT of inactive chapters this November. It's still an ongoing process but I'm hoping that as we continue to clean up there will be fewer inactive chapters out there. That was just step 1 of what I view as a 3 step process in cleaning up the chapter program. I'm hoping that we can get started on step 2 to continue to winnow the inactive chapters so that when folks are looking for a chapter to join, they see the active ones! Thanks, Brian |

Posted - Jan 14 2021 : 1:54:02 PM Hi Ashley, Welcome! I am in northeast PA. I think in November I saw that the Chapter list was being updated. I don't know if that is done yet. Hope someone else can answer.

Posted - Nov 11 2020 : 4:58:44 PM Hi Folks,
I'm actually in the process of cleaning out a large portion of the inactive chapters on our list. It's a long story but basically, the chapter program is 15 years old and some of the chapter leaders have moved on and/or changed the emails that we have on file for them. I'm in communication with all the chapter leaders ensuring that the ones that are still active stay on the list and those that are inactive are removed.
For the "virtual chapter" idea, we do have the Farmgirl Chapter Henhouses which might fit your needs: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/HenHouseSnitz/.
This is a separate forum sectioned off for Sisterhood members only and we need to manually transfer a chat room account into a specific Henhouse before you can post. If you have some members who are also members of the Sisterhood you can provide me with their login information. From there I can create a new henhouse just for you with you as the "Hen Honcho" and add the members that you supplied to your Henhouse. I hope that helps answer your question. Let me know if you have any more!

Posted - Nov 11 2020 : 2:18:30 PM I was wondering the same thing Rachel. And I agree, virtual is a good idea while we are stuck with social distancing. Would love to join a chapter that is active but not so sure about in-person meetings.
