Hey Katie! I'm right near Chicago! Can you share the details of the Country Living thingy?

Here's where I'm off to...Lord willin'...as my Granny used to say!

"A Gathering on the Prarie"-Country Antique Show & Sale, featuring early americana, country primitives, furniture, early lighting, textiles, stoneware, baskets, tinware, folkart wooden ware & more!

Food from the kitchen of Doris Yoder

Arthur is a small town in central IL near the Amish community. It's loaded with shops, great amish resturants, and rural views. I hear tell there is a BARN full of fabric out on one of the back roads. I'm gonna do my best to find it! :)
Ok and speaking of the Amish...does anyone else love their peanut butter church spread like I do? I was told they have it on the table at every meal! How pathetic am I? ...goin' to such a fun event & all I can think of is the peanut butter spread? LOL

And Frannie, I know how you love a good road trip so I'll see ya there, right?

Quilts, quilts, quilts! October is always a fun month. The Houston International Quilt Market is late October, and then the festival is the following week! Always something new to learn. Plus, the weather has just started to change, and can now live with it! But I also love lot's of pumpkins....

Happy October month!

I'm going to the Country Living Festival at the Chicago Botanic Garden early Oct with my sis. Basketweaving, quilts, soap-making, FOOD, etc. -- it's the first one ever, and we're looking forward to it. Sister is in Michigan and traveling here for the weekend.

That just SOUNDS fun Rhonda..can't wait to hear about it. Most of my stuff lately has been rather ordinary. I wish we had some sort of harvest festival or something near here. I will have to see how close the nearest corn maze is. We had one here outside of town two years in a row but the last two years they havn't done it and I miss it alot...great fun!!

I'm off to some "Primitive on the Prairie" thingy next week. Can't wait to go. You'd THINK I'd know more about it, huh? I'll post details tomorrow for those in central IL. I'm just too pooped to go find the brochure tonight!
