Posted - Jul 19 2012 : 10:10:48 AM Hello Sisters!
I'd like to throw an afternoon tea for any sisters that live in the Tampa Bay Florida area, or any sister that will be visiting the state that wants to come to get to know each other. We will have tea, spend time, and talk about Thyme and other plants and herbs, and share crumpets of food and information.
I've not had any luck finding chapter's from this area and thought that there might be a handful of us that could get together. Please let me know if you're out there and would like to participate. We can pick a date together.

Posted - Aug 10 2012 : 06:49:39 AM I love the prom dres idea! LOVE it!!! I think you and I might be two peas in a pod. I love to garden, love flowers, my girls (chickens) and love nothing more to entertain and cook for others! We just "spruced" up the flowers beds with beauty bark, everything is mowed and trimmed and I told my husband that need a to have a PARTY! ;0) Seriously, I love the tea shop idea. There are a couple of shops that sell tea, but no place that actually does the tea & crumpet theme. Wouldn't hosting tea parties for little girls be fun?!

Posted - Aug 10 2012 : 06:20:05 AM Hi Beverly! Yes, my roses are DAvid Austin. I get his catalog and scan his website all the time!! I order a new rose bush every year, I can't help it, they're so beautiful! I think we have a lot in common as well. Next time i'm in you're area we'll visit. I use to have a friend that lived in Beverly, Mass, such a beautiful place.
Hi Alice! You're welcome! I'll post more pics of the actual party after it happens. I'm on the hunt for old prom dresses to decorate my chairs like this pic below...I think it will be so cute.

Sebrena, we're gonna give this a run for our money! So glad we found each other!!

Posted - Aug 10 2012 : 05:37:26 AM Thanks Sebrena! I love cooking and feeding people! My creative side really comes out when I cook or plan a party. I find many of my inspirations just looking through old magazines. I've always wanted to own a small teahouse, with garden type stuff and a few antiques. I'd name it "Tea, Thyme, and Crumpets." This is something we can do together when I move to Washington...LoL. I've got to fit this in with my dream of having a micro ranch. I need to live a hundred more years!!

My former in-laws lived in Newington. I can't wait to move to the great Northwest! I'm so glad you enjoy the blog, I'll be posting again today.
