I am also in Marlton, across the street from Atco. We are starting a farm on 6 acres. Just chickens and horses so far. Wendy

Annie, I'm sorry that you don't drive!

Luanne - I think that's quite a hike! I would think at least 3 hours. I know that to go up to the Crayola Factory from here is 1.5 hours minimum. If you're on the NJ Turnpike, you'd take exit 4 to get to me - I don't know if that helps at all. I'm 10 minutes from the exit, the craft location is about 20 minutes from the exit (depending on traffic).

Also, there is an actual craft fair at Indian Acres Tree Farm that's just down the road (on Tuckerton Rd) from where I'll be on Saturday. It's held Saturday & Sunday outdoors. I contemplated doing that - but right now I couldn't risk loosing my fee if it rained and 2 days is a bit much for me right now with just starting out.

Have a lovely day!

Hi Nicole!

I'm not actually in NJ, but just across the Delaware Water Gap into Northast PA. How far is that from Marlton? I love craft shows!

Hi NJ Farmgirls!

I wanted to let you know about two things that are going on this week in my business life. I know that some of you are local, so the second item may be of interest to you.

Tuesday - Friday: We're open for PreSale - Sunshine Farm Girl Coop TEAM Fall Decor Online Craft Show (BNR for other Estians 1-6pm ET Thurs & Fri) - shop anytime now through Friday 6pm ET! http://www.etsy.com/treasury/NTk2NTQyNnw3MTMwMzUwMDk/presale-sfgcteam-fall-decor-online-craft Click the link and find coupon codes on the first page! Shop any of the items in each shop, not just what's featured. What a great way for Farm Girls to support other Farm Girls!!!

Saturday: CRAFT EVENT my Etsy shop will be closed for the day. The address is 1004 Tuckerton Road, Marlton, NJ - it's located in the Blue Barn Rec Center behind the Municipal Sports Complex. I'm in spot B-9, walk in and I'm the second spot on the left. There will be other crafters, home-based businesses, local businesses, and yardsalers - something for everyone! If you're local, please come out and see my wares in person! 8am-2pm

There's a special coupon code for the Sunshine Farm Girl Coop TEAM Fall Decor Online Craft Show, you have to check out the link to get it.
After Friday remember the MJ Farmgirl Discound: DREAMMJF10 worth 10% anything in my shop (before shipping)

Have a blessed week!

Hi Debbie,

We're as prepared as we can be, plenty of ice, candles, batteries, charged all items that could be charged, all of the outside items are put away.

I have a tropical turkey in the oven right now (stuffed with limes, onion, and celery) - the house smells divine! I also am in the process of making peach preserves - 2 steps down, 1 to go and then they'll be put up tonight or tomorrow morning when they're cool.

Stay safe!

Well, we didn't get to put in a garden this year. We arrived home from vacation on Saturday the 14th and Sunday it poured here and it was so hard and fast that it flooded our basement twice and my husband's office at the back of the house. I think that was Sunday or maybe Monday. I can't remember because all the rainy days seem to blur together on me. Yes was hot and it has rained today but is sunny now. Jersey weather for ya! Not sure just where you are Lori but if you click on my screen name and email me your street address I can put it in the gps and see how far away you are. I can make any days except Saturdays because I am scheduled to work the next 3 coming up. I don't have any little ones anymore but I have 4 grands now. Sometimes I get to have the older ones come and stay when I can.

The rain wiped out what was left of my tomato plants, but on a good note it made more room for the peppers. I am only like 20 to 30 minutes from Marlton depending on where you live. My house could be a first meeting spot if you would like. I know it's not quite the middle but it's a spot, unless someone has another place in mind. All Jersey Girls are more than welcome to come. Just to forewarn I do have 7 children (6 that are at home and 1 married with a baby on the way). So if you have little ones you can bring them. My kids range from 20 yrs to 10 yrs. Let me know if anyone is interested.

How did you fare with all of the rain? In Marlton we only got 4.35 inches over those 4 days Saturday night-Tuesday - but it took out my lima poles, my tomatoes are all wilted from the extra water - so many are split - beyond saving because black mold set in quick. I went this morning to the community garden to pick because I "needed to" - I wanted it to dry out some before I went over and I was too busy yesterday to get over there. Well, it was raining this morning when I went and it's supposed to rain on and off straight through tomorrow night. I doubt I'll have anything other than sunflowers, celery, & leeks when it dries out! I picked a grocery bag each of ancho peppers & bell peppers and two bags of tomatoes. My limas and string beans haven't set because of the heat, now they're so battered from the rain & wind - I doubt I get anything. Oh, well ... off to process the wonders that I was able to pick!

Hey Lori, 30 minutes from Pittsgrove? Which direction? I am 20 minutes from there. Maybe we could get something going around here.

I live in South Jersey in Camden county. Where are all the rest of the south Jersey girls from? Is there a chapter here? I just joined a few days ago and would like to learn the ropes.
Thanks in advance, Lori
