I just became Farmgirl Sister #1627 and I'm very interested in starting a Sisterhood Chapter in my area because the closest neighboring chapter (in Jacksonville, FL) is not currently taking new members according the to the MJF website.

Unfortunately, I don't know any sisters in my area, nor do I have a group of friends that would be willing to join together in a chapter with me.

I want to find out if there are any sisters in my area (Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan, Hilliard, or Jacksonville, FL)who would like to be in a Sisterhood Chapter with me?

I would really like the opportunity to meet some new people and have the friendship and community atmosphere that I know a local chapter would provide. I know we would all learn so much from each other.

If you are reading this and you've actually started a chapter in your own area, could you please give me some advice?

Thanks,

--Marie--

Awesome! I'm so glad you know them. Yes, their Tomato Festival is this weekend. I wish I could go. Next time you see them, please tell them their niece, Marie, said hello! I'll keep plugging along with my efforts to get a chapter started in my area. Thanks for the boost of confidence.

I know them, not personally where they would know mt name too, but from shopping and buying from them each Saturday....and I also get their emails. I have been to the farm, and they are having a big Feastival this week-end. He is very active in slow foods here and that is so cool he is your uncle!!! They are a neat couple.

Bummer. I wish you were closer, too. My uncle lives right outside of Tallahassee and runs Turkey Hill Farms with his wife. He sells organic produce at the farmer's market every week. If you go, be sure to look for him, his produce is awesome!
