Posted - Aug 12 2010 : 04:22:23 AM Hi Darlene -
Our bees are in a field near our buckwheat patch, but there is also a lot of other plants the bees work, so it isn't pure buckwheat honey - just a combo of whatever they forage on.
I did both lists for the photo swap, but have only received about 8 photos back - wonder what I did wrong?!?!?
If you gals decide to get together, count me in. I'm pretty tied up on weekends until after mid-October, but any week night would be fine with me!

Hopefully we can get a group together some evening. I also e-mailed yarnmamma (Linda) in Scranton to see if she was interested.

Posted - Jun 11 2010 : 06:20:25 AM My weekends are pretty full too especially with the kids out of school next Tuesday. I could swing a weekday evening and am willing to host a bbq if the girls are up for it.
Luanne, are you the woman with the vintage blue pickup?? If so, I think we met in the Mr Z's parking lot last summer.

Posted - Jun 11 2010 : 05:09:12 AM Hi Jenn -
We don't sell beeswax yet - maybe some time in the future. What I would really like to do is learn how to clean it and make candles from it. We are up to 9 hives now and hope to have 12 by the end of the season.
I'd love to get a group from this area together, but my weekends are pretty well tied up. Any week day after 3:30 p.m. is fine with me, though. I'll e-mail you my address.
Thanks! Luanne

Posted - Jun 09 2010 : 1:05:25 PM Hey Luanne
Ive had the chapter for years but there were no MJF girls to be found. Its been laying dormant. Lets see if we can get some Pocono PA and Northern NJ girls together...
Also, do you sell beeswax?? Im running low and would rather support a local farmgirl then to go through an online source

Posted - Jun 09 2010 : 04:22:10 AM Hi Dana -
Yes, Cresco is right in the heart of the Poconos between Stroudsburg and Mt. Pocono. I'll look on a map and see where Hammonton, NJ is - maybe we can get a few of us Northeast PA girls together with you sometime!
