A friend and I just started the Harstine Island Farm Girls chapter near Shelton Washington, (north of Olympia) and we are actively seeking new members. We are fortunate to live on a 9-acre former dairy farm on beautiful Harstine Island, with a lot of space for organic gardening and raising animals.

We also have room for several new residents in the Farm House, if you're in transition and would like to help us create the farm of our dreams!

After the spring rains stop, in May or June, we'd love to have a cookout here with other farmgirl chapters. Send us an e-mail and we'll get virtually acquainted! Then we hope to meet a lot of you all in person.

(My first post here, so hope it's OK!)

Congratulations on the new chapter! Maybe we can have a joint meeting with your new chapter and my new chapter that's here in Puyallup.
