Posted - May 17 2011 : 12:54:40 PM I am so excited too! Our first chapter get-together is this weekend! I'm having "low tea" and we're going to patchwork the covers of a photo album for our memories and press flowers for a future project together! I have so many ideas that I can't wait to share with everyone! My chickie-girls are all talented and creative and I plan on using this potential for good! (Sounds like a superhero motto...FARMGIRLS ARE SUPERHEROES!) Have fun everyone at all your gatherings! And Margo, I wish you could join us, but it's so far...but if you're ever in the neighborhood, give a ring!

Posted - Feb 18 2011 : 5:54:15 PM I loved spending the day with my Farm Girl "Peeps" . We did a lot of work but wow did we get a lot done !! I can't wait to try that chicken ! I think we will do lots more canning together. Next month sometime we will be canning pie filling if we can find a good price on Apples. While we waited for the chicken to process we made the orange vinegar all purpose cleaner that was posted last week. We used it to clean up after . I Works GREAT! Oh and Susan , Ethyl the Hen is still safe but WATCH OUT ROOSTERS ! Susan C |

Posted - Feb 18 2011 : 5:38:29 PM What a fun Farmgirl Day! Met with five sisters in the new Yampa Valley Hen and Chicks Farmgirl chapter in Craig Co. and we canned 56 pints of chicken thanks to sister Lorrae #1649 she taught us a ton ....now there isn't a chicken safe in all of the county. As much as I like my hens those jars look mighty pretty. We will be meeting again on March 4th if you want to join us anyone is welcome. Susan Domer #2141 |

Posted - Apr 28 2010 : 09:09:04 AM FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST HENHOUSE . . . . . we are a "virtual" henhouse because we are scattered from Pennsylvania to California. However, we are getting organized and doing some "clucking" and planning our SPRING PROJECT which is to help provide seeds, plants and other gardening supplies to a family, community garden or other gardening need in our own communities. We're planning "collectively" but working in our own community.

Posted - Mar 20 2010 : 5:15:51 PM Hello, my friend started our local chapter about two years ago but it never really got off the ground. I recently joined and we are wanting to attract new members. We will be placing the press release in the local paper next month.Facebook has been very helpful and we are buying a booth at our local famers market. My friend can't find the chapter starter kit and I was wondering if I could get some advice. I want this to be fun and I think we should have a social gathering of sorts to see what talent is out there. I would love some advice on how to get this up and running and maybe some fun ideas to get us all aquainted. Thanks for your help in advance.
