I am very knew to all of this, but I have braved into starting my own chapter here in Ohio. My friends and I already do a lot of neat stuff, but it would be great to have an official farmgirl connection. If there are any chapters here in Ohio let me know. We would love to hear from you and maybe share some of our ideas with you. We are planning some day trips for this year, and may be able to stop and see you. Farmirls unite!

Hi Solange,

We may have corresponded by email already. I was on today checking on groups here in Pataskala. Were you able to find any groups close to Pataskala? I live off of Summit Road (South of Broad and North of Main Streets) near the Reynoldsburg line. Close to Olde Summit Towne Restaurant.

Talk to you later.

I think the cops have moved elsewhere. they did construction and expanded 161 making the speed limit go up to 65! I love newark!

I have emailed a few chapters and have not recieved any responses yet.

solange, I believe there is a chapter near you in Johnstown. I think she may have posted on this thread.

I used to live in Newark for 17 years and truly miss the area. All I remember of Pataskala is that it was a speed trap! Is it still? lol

Hi Chris!
You are not far from where I live. I do not use Facebook, but will contact you via e-mail if that's okay. I started a chapter, and may have another woman joining, but so are it's been me and my girls (Farmerettes and Young Cultivators).

Hi there :) I had one started, but just did not have the time/energy to really get down to it. We also did not have a lot of interest. And it was really difficult to get everyone's schedule meshed together. I would be interseted in joining with one of you ladies who has a chapter.

Hi. This is Chris and I started a group in Toledo, Ohio several years ago without much luck with a continual group. I am frustrated with trying to continue. But I am in need of farmgirl talk. Sharon, I'm in Meigs County, about an hour from Chillicothe.

Kristina...I love the idea of finding a daylong workshop about stuff we'd like to learn and we just all show up. Or maybe once a month we could allchoose a month and plan a daylong event and all get together that way.....My soul really needs to belong to a chapter....I need inspiration!

Jen....East Fultonham is kinda far for me to get together very often...

I'm in the South eastern Ohio area but have no chapters near me. I thought I'd had found one close and emailed them but never heard anything back from them so they must not be doing it anymore because that was two years ago. Anyway I'll keep my hopes up that someday I'll find others near me that share my interests. But anyway I just wanted to say Hi to all the other Ohio gals out there.

I would love to take a hearthside cooking class with all of you. It's been on my "bucket" list for a year now. You learn to cook over an open fire. It takes place in an 1812 kitchen. Each year it's in April. I'll post the information if you are interested.

Seems like all you farmgirls live very close to big cities....I live in SE Ohio...out in the sticks. I tried to start a farmgirl chapter and it never materialized...so what do I do now? I belong to a group of quilters who meet once a month "The Grateful Threads" but they aren't interested in farming and animals and farmgirl kinda stuff.....I feel ever so lonely...sniff, sniff...where would be a central location for everyone? Maybe we could find an Inn or something and plan some creative things and all meet there...?

I used to be in Ohio and tried to start a chapter of North Central Ohio farmgirls - I was in Lexington, just south of Mansfield.

Had to move to Michigan, job-related. Hope to move back to Ohio when retirement is an option, my family is still there.

I'd like to keep tabs on farmgirl activities near Mansfield.

I don't live in Ohio but I am really closed to Ohio and travel there all the time. I actually live south of Pittsburgh. I don't think that there are any chapters around me so I'm not sure how close that we are, but if I am available on a day that you guys are having a get together I may be able to travel there and meet with everyone. Let me know if I am close to a chapter though and I will gladly join it.
