That's what I thought. It must be the "oh, was that a town? . . . ." while I'm cruising that stretch. I'll have to pay more attention next time. I usually don't relax on that drive until I turn on to 1488 (the road to Magnolia).
What goes in to belonging to a henhouse? This is my first. I tried to find the other group from my area when I first became a farmgirl, but I never heard from anybody.

Tiff, if you go out 290 to Austin, You will pass through Chappel Hill. It's just got such a beautiful vibe to it!

In fact, there is a place out in that area that is a "Retreat" that would be a GORGEOUS place to hold one of the HOTtie yearly gatherings!

I'm in too!! Brooke - I don't blame you for wanting to get "outside" of Houston, I could get lost in areas where I grew up. It just gets bigger and bigger. I Love the drive from 290 to Magnolia (I can't remember the road:-)) Beautiful farms and such. I'll have to look up Chapell Hill, seems like I've been through it.
~ I haven't logged in to my blog in over a year . . .

Tiffany, I don't mind at all. Wow! I was born in pasadena at Bayshore. LoL. I also grew up around there, Clear Lake, and also went back and forth to Willis, and then ended up in Spring 1960 too.. close to Olde Town Spring actually.. and then ended up around the Galleria area. I want to get something a little "outside" Houston, but have no clue where and can't yet. I love Chapell Hill. It's actually my favorite area.

Girls, I am trying to put together my own blog, and I am wanting to connect all the Hotties on my blog - if I can make a suggestion - that might be a good thing for you all to do maybe too? I'll give you my blog address as soon as it's situated!

I love Austin, it's a neat place!
My hubby saw in the paper your local "colorful character" Leslie the crossdresser has been sick.

Thank you Brooke. I'm gonna get right on it. Where in Houston do you live? (if you don't mind tellin') I was born and raised in H-town. Pasadena, Clear Lake, and finally the Spring 1960 area.

Tiffany, Hi! Welcome back!! This is great. I think it's BrianOgle@MaryJanesFarm.org (someone correct me if I am wrong) .. but I contacted him on here because I saw his name in the "Official Farmgirl Sisterhood" forum! .. that was easiest for me. lol. I'm sure you can find him in the names under "members" too.

I didn't realize we had to contact Brian to get hooked up with the henhouses, so if you didn't know like me, be sure and let him know you want to be a part of the Heart of Texas (if you are in the sisterhood!)

Yay, jennifer! That is great! (I will be writing you .....and you too, heather!!)

Count me in. I have not got my sisterhood packet yet and I cannot get in the henhouse yet. But I can sit outside and eavesdrop. Y'all can throw some crumbs out the window until someone lets me in.

There is a Texas group in east Texas and they were making an actual group to meet. Have not heard from them lately on the forum. It seems hard to keep these going.

LaVonna, Hottie is short for Heart Of Texas (HOT) ... lol. Doesn't mean you have to be HOT... I mean, well, there's a few plays on words here... HOT because it's so HOT in Texas. Hahaha.

I will send you my address, Heather!

I don't see any reason why we can't have a Texas farmgirl group. There's alot we could do -- and I'm sure we could get together once a year and have ourselves something like a FARM FAIR here...there are huge possibilities... I know that's what I'd like to do at Butterfly Hill eventually... Texas farmgirls really need to be represented because we really DO have a BIG history here in Texas ....

so I will do all I can to help wherever needed.

Heather, I know you are not in Texas anywhere yet. Tell me how we are going to get a group together in a state this spread out. I am new here sort of and I do not know how you do all of this.

Plus, being in menopause it is hard to get excited about being a "hottie". Just means something different than it used to but if you want to fire up a group I will do my best to participate.
